 Digital TV on your PSP! And, there's a catch.

Good news: Sony announced their Digital TV accessory for the PSP to release at the same time as the new "slim" PSP.

Bad news: It's only for Seg1 digital signals in Japan.

I suppose this move is designed to help promote the notion that the PSP is a portable media device, and further separate it from the DS, which is drastically outselling the PSP in Japan.

At any rate, I can't understand why Sony continues to make decisions that will only alienate a large number of consumers.
