Oak Cliff GameStop store manager suspended for "games for grades" policy

WFAA-TV has the story of Brandon Scott, an Oak Cliff GameStop store manager who refuses to sell games to kids who can't prove they have good grades in school.
While the parents interviewed for the story seem pleased with the policy, the executives at Grapevine-based GameStop have suspended Scott while they conduct a review.
The company says it wasn't aware of Scott's unorthodox requirements.
The fact that he wasn't fired outright is probably a sign that GameStop would prefer Scott to just back off and sell the games.
But it doesn't sound like he's going to do that.
From the article:
Scott says he's unsure whether his suspension was due to the unorthodox policy, or because he spoke to the media.
But says he remains committed to making a difference, regardless of the label.
"I wouldn't say rebel, but I can be rebellious. I can fight for what I believe in," he said.
It will be interesting to see how GameStop plays this.

Comments
Anything but reinstating him and commending him for his original idea would be an idiotic PR move by Gamestop.
Let's hope they're smarter than that.
